Many light aircraft pass exhaust gases through a heat exchanger to heat the cockpit. If carbon monoxide leaks in, it can silently impair a pilot's ability and standard cockpit alarms are often unheard beneath a headset. Moxy solves this by delivering clear voice warnings directly through your headset, with clear actions to be taken by the pilot.

Voice Warnings Through Your Headset

Moxy connects in-line between your headset and the aircraft console. When CO is detected, it delivers clear spoken instructions directly into your earpiece, so you never miss a warning, even with your headset on.

Three-Stage LED Indicators

Green, yellow and red LEDs provide instant visual confirmation of CO levels at a glance. The interface stays out of the way until an alert is triggered and can be muted temporarily if needed.

How does Moxy connect to my headset?
Moxy sits in-line between your standard pilot headset and the aircraft console. Simply plug your headset into Moxy, then connect Moxy's leads to the aircraft sockets. Your headset continues to work normally with the aircraft radio, Moxy adds CO warnings on top when CO is detected.

What happens when CO is detected?
Moxy responds at three levels. At 0–50 ppm, the green LED stays on with no alarm. At 51–150 ppm, the yellow LED illuminates and a voice warning says "Carbon Monoxide detected. Turn off heating. Open window." Above 150 ppm, the red LED activates with the warning "Carbon Monoxide levels high. Divert." Voice warnings repeat through your headset so you can't miss them.

How long does the battery last?
Moxy runs for a minimum of 200 hours of continuous operation on a single user-replaceable 9V alkaline battery. A visible low-battery warning alerts you when it's time to swap.

Can I mute the voice warnings?
Yes. Press the Mute button to silence the audible warning for 5 minutes, useful when you need to clearly hear ATC or other radio communications. After 5 minutes the warning automatically un-mutes, or you can press the button again to restore it earlier.

Does it require calibration?
The Figaro TGS5141 electrochemical sensor is factory calibrated and accounts for altitude variations between 3,000 and 5,000 ft.
